Mandarin Coffee Stand is run by a former Intelligentsia barista and puts coffee from China, especially Yunnan, alongside roasters from around the world to show how far Chinese coffee has come. The house espresso blends Yunnan and Ethiopian beans, and signatures such as the Gui Hua latte with osmanthus honey and cardamom sit beside pour-over. There are two Pasadena shops, Mandarin and Mandarin 2.
