Mudd Works Roastery

Why it’s on the route

Mudd Works is a small roastery café on NE Glisan run by owner-barista Marco Johnson, who has worked in coffee since the 1980s. About half the square room is taken up by a manually controlled 10-kilo Sasa Samiac roaster from the 1960s-70s, on which he roasts medium-roast coffees such as his five-origin Heavy Number blend; the rest is a communal table and a short counter.
