Why it’s on the route

Rising Star has roasted in Cleveland since 2012 and now runs several cafés around the city, with roasting done in the Hildebrandt Building, a converted meatpacking plant in Clark-Fulton. The line-up covers African and Latin American single origins plus blends such as Illuminator and Peacemaker. The original Hingetown café sits in a decommissioned firehouse with vaulted ceilings, mid-century touches, plants and a large mural.
