Why it’s on the route

Sip of Hope is run by Hope For The Day, the Chicago non-profit founded by Jonny Boucher, and gives all of its proceeds to suicide prevention and mental-health education. It sits in the former Dill Pickle Co-op storefront on Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square, with a resource wall, and its baristas are trained in mental-health first aid. The coffee comes from Dark Matter, which created the Sip of Hope blend with the charity.
