Why it’s on the route
Three Ships was founded by Brad Ewing, with co-owner Amy Ewing as head roaster, and its 19th Street shop in Old Beach was the original café and former roastery. Roasting moved in 2021 to a larger roastery café on Jack Rabbit Road with a Diedrich IR12 and a restored 1954 Probat, and the Old Beach shop, remodelled in black and white with a nautical feel, serves espresso and pour-over.
