Why it’s on the route
Valhalla was started in 2004 by A.J. Anderson as a one-person roasting operation in a small Tacoma warehouse, roasting on a San Franciscan. The cosy, unpretentious 6th Avenue shop sells coffee by the cup and by the pound, including the Viking and Valkyrie blends, alongside espresso drinks and pour-over.
