Why it’s on the route

Bluebeard was founded around 2011 by Kevin McGlocklin, who learned from his cousin Ed Leebrick of Seattle's Lighthouse Roasters, and calls itself a '253rd-wave' roaster after Tacoma's area code. The original café sits at 6th and State, and a second roastery café on South Tacoma Way has expanded production.
