Why it’s on the route
Coffee Amp is a narrow Koenji roastery-café run by a married couple since 2010, with the roaster the first thing you see on walking in. Single origins and house blends are roasted on site and served as espresso drinks or brewed in a cafetière, using the same importers since the shop opened. Weathered floorboards and a dozen or so seats make it a neighbourhood stop rather than a lingering spot.
