Why it’s on the route

KAKO Yanagibashi is a branch of KAKO, a Nagoya coffee house known for French-roasted, hand-sorted beans brewed by nel (flannel) drip, about ten minutes' walk from Nagoya Station. The dark-brown room keeps a short menu of blend, American and single origin. The thing to order with it is the Chantilly Rouge Special, crisp toast with sweet bean paste, cream and the master's own spread, in the Nagoya morning-café tradition.
