Why it’s on the route
Kanda Brazil (神田伯剌西爾) has been roasting its own coffee in a Jimbocho basement since 1972, a short walk from the area's bookshops. The menu runs from the house Kanda Blend and a darker French blend to single origins such as Mandheling, with baked and rare cheesecakes as the usual pairing. Wood fittings, jazz and dim light give the room an unhurried, old-Jimbocho feel.
