Why it’s on the route

Milonga Nuova has been a Jimbocho kissaten since 1953, set in the lanes of Tokyo's used-bookstore district and known for playing Argentine tango rather than jazz or classical. Coffee is charcoal-roasted and hand-dripped one cup at a time, with the Milonga Blend as the house choice. Unusually for a kissaten, it also stocks beers from around the world.
