Why it’s on the route

Sabo Musashino Bunko opened in Kichijoji in 1985, carrying on Sabo Waseda Bunko, which had run in Waseda for 35 years. Walls lined with paintings, antiques and books give it the library feel its name suggests. Curry and coffee are served in Koishiwara ware, and the curry set, made to the original Waseda recipe, is one of Kichijoji's best-known.
