Why it’s on the route

Crema was opened by barista Rachel Lehman and her husband Ben in a former diesel mechanic's shop on Hermitage Avenue, just south of downtown Nashville, which remains the flagship. The company has roasted its own coffee since 2012, buying much of it through direct trade and keeping to light and medium roasts. Rotating single origins are brewed by the cup as pour-over alongside the espresso menu.
