Filter Coffee Parlor opened in January 2019 in Five Points South, in the building that housed the neighbourhood's Starbucks from 1997, founded by James Little and Jill Marlar and taken over in 2024 by Jeremie and Leigh Kirkwood. The bar serves drip and pour-over coffee, specialty drinks and bagged beans alongside house-made savoury scones. An upstairs mezzanine offers room to study or work and has hosted a monthly art series.
