Why it’s on the route

Hopscotch is a Bloomington coffee shop, now run by husband-and-wife Jeff Grant and Erin Tobey, that has grown over about a decade from a coffee bar into a full kitchen. It serves 100 percent direct-trade coffee from its own roastery, which Grant oversees. The Dodds Street Coffee & Kitchen pairs espresso drinks with breakfast scrambles, bowls and sandwiches.
