Kopiku Indonesian Coffee
San Francisco, United States
Why it’s on the route
Kopiku, which opened in 2024, bills itself as San Francisco's first Indonesian coffee shop and is run by Adhi Jusuf and his wife Amanda Chinitra. Its beans come from Beaneka, the roastery Jusuf co-founded to buy directly from Indonesian smallholders, and the daily coffee rotates to spotlight one region, from Aceh and Java to Bali and Toraja, marked by that region's textile on the wall. The house pandan latte is a best seller.
