The Coffee Movement

Why it’s on the route

The Coffee Movement started in 2016 out of the back of a VW bus before settling into this small shop on Washington Street, on the Nob Hill edge of Chinatown, with a sidewalk patio and cable cars passing by. It works as a multi-roaster, rotating coffees from roasters such as North Carolina's Black & White and Amsterdam's DAK, served as batch brew, espresso and tasting flights. Many baristas who went on to open their own San Francisco shops trained here.
