Why it’s on the route

Recreational Coffee is a small downtown Long Beach shop in a brick building just off the Promenade, now run by owner Brooklyn Warden. It serves ethically sourced coffees from various roasters as espresso drinks and slow pour-overs, plus playful house drinks like a sea-salt affogato and a hop-infused iced coffee, with a soundtrack of punk, reggaeton and hip hop and a busy calendar of events.
