Why it’s on the route
Coffee Lover's Planet is the specialty-coffee brand that Japan's UCC launched in Taiwan in 2016, with shops inside SOGO in Taipei's Dunhua area and in Hsinchu. Roaster Jiang Ciwei, a Q grader and 2019 Taiwan Brewers Cup finalist, profiles each coffee, and beans are packed in nitrogen-flushed cans. At the bar, staff explain the menu and guests pick a bean and a brewing method, siphon included.
