Why it’s on the route

Chocolate Fish is run by Andy and Edie Baker, a Kiwi-born roaster and his wife who lived in New Zealand for eight years, and set out to bring New Zealand café culture to Sacramento. Coffee for all its shops and wholesale is roasted on a Diedrich at the East Sacramento café and roastery on Folsom Boulevard, and the flat white is the drink to order.
