Why it’s on the route
Anchor & Tree is Donovan Albert's Sacramento roastery, which opened its first shop in early 2024 in a former yoga studio on 16th Street. The Bellwether roaster sits in view of the bar, where coffee is ground dose by dose and pulled on Flair lever machines, with siphon among the manual options. A bulk station sells beans from several other local roasters, in keeping with Albert's community-first approach.
