Why it’s on the route

Temple was founded in 2005 by barista Sean Kohmescher, who opened his first coffee house on S Street after a long stay in Indonesia. The S Street café sits next to the Midtown roastery that supplies all Temple shops, and its director of coffee spends much of the year visiting farms to build direct relationships. The roastery also runs home-brewing and espresso classes and weekly free tastings.
